EDWARD K. McDONALD III
MULTI-MODAL TRANSPORTATION CONSULTANT
Edward K. McDonald III has over 30 years of leadership in multiple industries, including Aviation and Aerospace. His experience includes airports and multi-modal transportation organizations within the Great Lakes, Pacific Northwest, and Southeastern regions, at organizations such as the Cleveland Clinic Healthcare System, and the BP Oil World Headquarters Building. His career field specialties include Enterprise Risk, Safety Management, Human Resources Management, Justice-Equity-Diversity-Inclusion, and Strategic Planning.
Edward’s 15 years of honorable service in the U.S. Marine Corps includes two tours in the Gulf War with Special Operations Marine Expeditionary Units, two Joint Task Force missions in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and the United Nations operations in Bosnia. His highly decorated military service received over 45 awards and medals. Edward’s undergraduate degrees are in Business Administration and Master of Science in Business Psychology. His doctorate is in Organizational Leadership with a dissertation completion planned for the Spring of 2022. Edward holds over twenty certifications, including Lean Six Sigma, Risk Management Society - Certified Risk Management Professional, and AAAE Certified Member designations.
Edward holds active memberships with several international affiliations. His notable career achievements include two nominations as the Risk Professional of the Year for 2020 and 2021, listing in 2012 Who’s Who in Black Cleveland, and authoring a 2021 White Paper report entitled North American Airports - Strategic Risk Management Approach in Response to COVID-19. Edward serves as a research panelist for three research projects with the National Academies of Sciences and Engineering – Airport Cooperative Research Program.
Edward is a subject matter expert for the Airports Council International - Airport Industry Recovery Advisory Panel (ACI-NA AIRAP).
